BAU AI research on US preconstruction risk

BAU AI research measures how often costly risk patterns, such as uncapped liquidated damages, broad-form indemnity and scope gaps, appear in US bid packages and contracts. One study is in progress. Until its analysis is final, every figure we show is a labeled placeholder, not a finding.

How we work

What we study
Risk clauses in US solicitations and contracts: liquidated damages, indemnity, payment and retainage terms, and scope gaps between specs, drawings and sub bids. Each finding is tagged to the standard text it departs from: AIA A201, ConsensusDocs, EJCDC or FAR 52.
How we label data
Figures from a study in progress are placeholders and labeled beside the number. Real figures are published only when the analysis is final, with sample size, period, sources and who reviewed them.
Privacy
Documents are anonymized before any aggregation, and customer data is never used to train models.
